About L-ORNITHIN L ASPARTATE TAB VAR2LIV-SL TABLET

VAR2LIV-SL contains l-ornithine-l-aspartate which belongs to the group of medicines called hepatoprotective agent. It is used in the treatment of concomitant diseases and complications caused by deterioration of liver detoxification function, with symptoms of latent or severe hepatic encephalopathy and consciousness disorders such as precoma or coma.

L-ornithine-l-aspartate is made up of two amino acids called ornithine and aspartic acid. Both l-ornithine and l-aspartic acid, ensures hepatoprotective effect by decreasing the toxic load on liver, and by providing metabolic support for hepatic cells. Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you have severe liver disease, because your doctor might adjust the dose on an individual basis to avoid nausea and vomiting.
